I needed a bar I could add weight to and this one works exactly as described. I've only used it 3 times, but I'm loving it this far. My favorite thing is that the weight is also very easily adjustable. I'm using 30 pound resistance for upper body and found it was too low for lower, so I plan to up it my next workout. All I have to do it clip the extra 10+ pounds on and I'm ready to go. No big break between sets, which is key for me.
This bar is easy to put together, it's sturdy at any weight and doesn't come loose like my old one did during a workout. The best thing is that I won't grow out of this one because it works up to 80 pounds. I'm quite pleased with this purchase. It's easily adjustable for both height and weight and worked perfectly for me, a petite, 5' nothing female.
Unfortunately, you can shorten the bands. I was able to improvise and use it in other ways but the band length seemed to make it awkward. I may return it if i find something similar.
